Maya Cocina Mexicana: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in Livonia, MI

We love this place. Everything is always fresh and tasty. The service is fast and friendly. I especially enjoy their Pollo Alhambra.

Victor was an excellent server! He was very informative, attentive, and accommodating. He frequently checked in on our table and gave great food/drink suggestions. He even provided a mole sample for a spice-sensitive member of our party. I ordered the enchiladas de mole, one of my go-to’s, and it was delicious. I’ve had many items off of their seasonally-rotating menu and have never been disappointed! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

My husband and I came here on an early Saturday evening for dinner. He ordered Enchilada Rojas, and I ordered Carne Asada with flour tortillas and a side of Peruvian beans. Everything was DELICIOUS. The food was seasoned well and was a good portion size. I had a glass of wine which was very reasonably priced,, but I feel the food was a little over priced. The menu online does not have the prices listed, and I feel that when an establishment does this then you should prepare for the prices to be higher. Service was good. Everyone was friendly and professional.

We had a lovely evening at this family owned restaurant yesterday evening. First, we were greeted by our server- Maya- who is the actual person that the restaurant is named for. She was absolutely delightful- and provided wonderful service! The menu is not a typical Tex-mex type menu that you find at a lot of mexican restaurants. There are many different and special offerings. For example my sister in law and I each had a pistachio crusted walleye dish that was absolutely delicious accompanied by mashed potatoes and very fresh vegetables. My brother had a chicken dish with mole sauce that he enjoyed. My husband had the alambre asada beef dish that was also very tasty. Portion sizes are ample. The mexican streetcorn appetizer was delicious as was the guacamole appetizer. The restaurant is cozy and modern in decor. Bathroom spotless. I look forward to coming back again.

Wow! First off the service is amazing. Ryan was super helpful and made sure all our questions were answered on top of being attentive. The food was so good! This is my 2nd time in and I will be back!

Everything was amazing. I now dream of the pomegranate margarita and pollo tacos. The desserts were insane! All the servers make you feel like family. Oh, and they have an amazing happy hour! Do yourself a favor: come to Maya!

We had a great date night here - I'm so happy to have them in Livonia! Authentic, well-crafted dishes and cocktails with excellent service in a modern, zen-like environment. Love it here! I especially love the open kitchen. First, I highly recommend the cucumber margarita - it was so refreshing and pretty with just the right balance. We also had the steak skewers appetizer, chips and salsa, and hubby had the steak skillet and I had the stuffed pepper special. Everything was so good, right down to the fresh chips and homemade salsa. Elevated ingredients, top notch cooking skills and lots of flavor. Everything was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to return. It's such a welcome restaurant in a sea of suburban chains. It's tucked into a strip mall, but as soon as you enter, it's like you're transported to a whole new place. Clean, modern, upscale Mexican food. Yum!

Absolutely exceptional in everyway. The margaritas were perfect - fresh and bright. My partner and I started with guacamole and moved on to mahi mahi tacos and a burrito. We very much enjoyed every aspect of our meal. The restaurant is beautiful inside, the food was delish and the staff made us feel very welcome. I anticipate spending a lot of time here.
